DFO and Shop are looking for Australia’s most fashionable bargain hunter, and will crown one lucky shopaholic the ”2013 Shopper of the Year“.

Personally, I’ve always thought that shopping should be considered an Olympic sport – what other leisure activity requires speed, agility, hand-to-eye coordination, stamina and strength?

This competition will put the styling, speed and bargain hunting skills of Australia’s fashionistas to the test!

How does it work?

200 readers will get $200 – and just 45 minutes at a DFO location – to channel their inner stylist and put together a look that gets the fashion-editor thumbs up.

The panel of judges will pick eight outfits to go online for the public to vote, with the ultimate winner pocketing $5000 and the title of 2013’s Shopper of the Year!

DFO invited me to down to their South Wharf location to see how I would style a complete outfit for just $200, and I was amazed at the bargains to be had!

After whiling away a very enjoyable couple of hours, I pulled together an amazing look from Mossman, Cotton On and Jo Mercer for less than $200 – $192. 86 to be exact!

Here’s what I picked up:

You can read my previous post here, but I thought I’d give you an update on how I’m going!

My 30 days officially started on 20th February, and to date, I’ve attended a mix of Vinyasa yoga, Group Reformer Pilates and smashed out my circuit training program prepared by the lovely Kate.

With an extremely busy work, social and home life schedule, I’ve fitted in 8 classes so far – the Kaya class timetable has been so handy, as I’ve been mixing classes before work and after work, along with some weekend yoga classes. Love it!
