So I’m a repeat offender when it comes to instagramming my food. Particularly food I created & even more so if the recipe is new/one I invented. Some of my friends have threatened an instavention.

My fixation is partly driven by an only child’s need to show off, but mostly the fact when I find something I love, I want to tell EVERYONE about it.

So when my 9-5 was engaged to launch lovetoshare, I knew this would be right up my alley.

For those playing at home lovetoshare is Australia’s first food network dedicated to the storing and sharing of recipes across multiple platforms, including online, television and social media.

Whoopedeedoo! But what does it mean Basil?

Lovetoshare.com.au is a website where you can store and share all your favourite recipes with the world.  Beyond that, the site offers all the info you could ever possible want/need about creating delicious and nutritious dishes in your own home.   I particularly like the Seasonal Food Diary, which offers seasonal cooking tips and recipes to help them prepare a menu based on what’s in season, when it’s at its best.

But there’s MORE! The site is also supported by lovetoshareFOOD, a weekly one hour lifestyle program, airing on Saturday afternoons at 4pm on Channel Ten.   Filmed in Melbourne lovetoshareFOOD will be hosted by ex-MasterChef Aaron Harvie, along with total babe resident chef Darren Robertson, market reporter Arabella Forge and granny skills expert Rebecca Sullivan.

Each program will focus on everyday beautiful home cooking with seasonal produce and will feature 3-4 recipes per episode cooked by the resident cooks and a weekly celebrity guest, as well as one member recipe from lovetoshare.com.au (I may or may not have uploaded 50 recipes for my crack at 15 seconds of fame…!)

The media launch was held at the uber new Virginia Plain in Flinders Lane. The show’s creators and hosts greeted Melbourne media types (special mention to @wendyonline & @sarahstyle) celebs and the food industry’s answer to rock stars (Guy Grossi).

Aaron with witty, Darren was dreamy & Arabella was charming as guests tucked into several courses of fancy pants fare. And yes, I instagrammed each course (@eccenterica).

We then got to have a play on lovetoshare.com.au and despite already being full as a goog, my mouth was watering & I was mentally planning the shopping list for that night’s dinner.

I’m looking forward discovering more delicious recipes  and incorporating the out the TV show (did I mention it’s on Network Ten, 4pm Saturdays?) into my Saturday market/cook up ritual .
