With the Olympics beckoning (yes I’m just as excited as my lovely editor, melbgirl herself!) I thought it’s high time we take a look at what Londoners themselves may be sporting as they head to the games and also what may be headed our way in Spring/Summer collections.
Pastel-neon is the colour palate of choice with blissful colours like watermelon, mint, lilac and lemon key to the current London look. While bold prints and pretty paisley prints are working in equal harmony alongside each other. FAB silk harem pants in these colours with bold black print detail have made their way onto Country Road racks. LOVE.
The easiest way to work pastel-neon shades into your look and welcome spring into your wardrobe just a little bit early is with jeans – Topshop online have a great range at an absolute steal if you get in quick! Friday 3 August is Jeans for Genes Day – the perfect day to unleash these bad boys!
There’s a real melting pot of fabrics and textures gracing Oxford Street – with lace, silk, natural fibres and sparkly embellishments the standout favourites. A seriously cute cream cardigan with watermelon lapels and pearl embellishments from H&M online is the perfect embellished winter to spring transition piece.
Structured dresses are also making a beeline from the northern hemisphere to us. Beautiful tailored pieces with a fitted bodice and flaired skirt are a flattering style on many a figure. These babies will be making an appearance at Cue in our refreshing pastel-neon new fav colours.
I’m loving the colours, textures and styles that are scattering themselves in our part of town all the way from London town.
Oh and bring on those Aussie gold medals!
