MELBOURNE: 2011 BMW Caulfield Cup

Classically stylish, intrinsically covetable and with a level of sophistication all its own, BMW will again bring its signature mix of adrenalin-charged excitement and true continental style as it celebrates a different kind of horsepower at the first big race of this year’s Melbourne’s Spring Racing Carnival – the 2011 BMW Caulfield Cup.

BMW (who have secured naming rights and race day rights for the BMW Caulfield Cup) will be there to celebrate the day in classic style, with a marquee as exclusive and elegant as one would expect from the company behind some of the world’s most luxurious and covetable cars.

The BMW Caulfield Cup is on Saturday, October 15, at Caulfield Racecourse. Celebrity guests expected inside the BMW Marquee include BMW ambassadors and Masterchef duo George Calombaris (pictured above) and Gary Mehigan, as well as Mao’s Last Dancer author Li Cunxin.

Also in attendance will be Carrie Bickmore and Charlie Pickering, from Network Ten’s 7pm Project, milliner Richard Nylon, Network Ten newsreader Helen Kapalos, Project Runway designer Craig Braybrook, Melbourne Vixens netballer Bianca Chatfield, businessman Harold Mitchell AO, executive chairman of Mitchell Communication Group, and others from the showbiz, sporting and business fields.

Find the BMW Marquee in the Hiskens Stand at Caulfield Racecourse.

Enjoy Spring Racing!
