SABA launch their flagship store in style

Last night I was invited along to the flagship store re-launch of Apparel Group owned fashion brand, SABA, at 234 Collins Street, Melbourne. SABA teamed up with Vogue Australia to ensure that the evening was one to remember – and it was a true celebration of style!

I was thrilled to get a guided tour around the new space prior to the arrival of invited guests, and catch a glimpse of the models behind the scenes. Hopefully you caught all my twitter action live throughout the evening, as I was shown around the store by the lovely SABA team.

With a sales area of 475sqm, SABA Collins St is divided into ground (womens) and first floor (mens and denim) levels. A spiral staircase adjoins the two floors and online digital kiosks (which allow customers to see the collection, view the SABA catalogue and order instantly online) are located in both the male and female zones. Pared back architectural steel, glass, concrete, natural timber and linen were enhanced all evening with high impact lighting and gorgeous fresh floral displays.

The interior design of the new store was equally as exciting as their new season collection, which encapsulates the notion of simplicity and movement through water. The bold, colourful collection was lifted off in a choreographed runway show down the spiral staircase, accompanied by a wonderful live performance by The Raah Trio.

I fell in love with the colourful frocks showcased in the runway, particulary the above the knee cobalt blue halter dress and hot pink maxi. Scattered around the store were many, many pairs of must-have heels and key accessories – leather cuffs, chunky gold bracelets and hangbags galore with gold hardware… HEART!

SABA’s flagship store is located at the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Head in store and check out the Hecker Guthrie designed space for yourself.

Enjoy, melbgirl x
