Spring is only 3 sleeps away (excited much), and I am absolutely in love with the Spring Summer Collection which is available now from Myer stores nationally.

Bursting with bright, bold colours – rich oranges, hot corals and acid yellows; the collection boasts something for every modern woman, even Melbourne girls like myself who are a sucker for everything black, black, black!

My favourite looks include dresses by Sass and Bide, Charlie Brown and Nicola Finetti. Embracing the dramatic Pinnacles Desert in Western Australia where the campaign was shot, the models Jen Hawkins and Jess Hart look electric in the ‘Colour Clash‘ pieces.

KEY SUMMER TRENDS AT MYER FOR SS11 >

Colour Clash – Think outside the box and embrace beautifully bold new colour choices. Juxtapose opposite ends of the spectrum and challenge the status quo. Try a lemon yellow with bright, rich reds to splash a little summer sunshine on your style. Mix electric blue with lime green and pops of hot pink. Break the colour rules and be seen in blue and green. Clashing colour will instantly lift your mood and liven up your wardrobe. Go loud and proud in traffic stopping colour blocks or crazy colour-confused patterns.

Desert Bloom - It’s time to get your girly glamour growing with flirty florals that will keep your wardrobe blossoming. Let you inner bohemian babe out this spring and summer with delicate and darling pieces. Flaunt your florals with boho inspired tops and chic shirts. The look is casual and the feel is relaxed with maxi dresses and skirts of loose, light fabrics. Work petal power into your outfit with free flowing 70′s inspired blouses and flirty floral sundresses. Arrange your bohemian bouquet in a field of flowers and fall in love with this flirty floral fashion.

Safari Society – Take a walk on the wild side this summer and style yourself in all things safari. This season we’re reaching out globally and taking influences from all over Africa. It’s going to be a hot summer and you’ll sizzle in natural, earthy tones. Stay neutral with creamy camels, khaki, bright whites and bold black. Add wooden wedges, snakeskin belts, tribal beads and buckled bags. Stay neutral with your accessories or add animal accents to finish off a roaring hot outfit. Remember, it’s a jungle out there.

Riviera – What better way to spend your summer than on a beautiful yacht, surrounded by crystal blue waters and a fresh sea breeze in the middle of an island-hopping adventure? We’re vicariously living our Riviera dreams through this new fashion trend. Live like the rich and famous without having to move to the Bahamas. Go gloriously glamorous with nautical inspired pieces. Choose crisp whites, smooth navys and racy reds for your colour palette. Embrace the art of wide leg pants and pretty stripe sundresses. Add a weaved wedge for a comfortable look that’s totally cute. It’s time to set sail on new, summery sailor sensations. Ahoy!
